Mechanical Information
To Whom It May Concern:
We are the mechanical contractor chosen to replace the atmospheric boiler in the
condominium with a high efficiency, energy star rated boiler combined with a 50 gallon
sidearm domestic hot water tank. We will remove the existing boiler and gas water
heater and pipe in a Lochinvar Knight boiler. Cut sheets on the Knight boiler are
enclosed.
We have included our heat loss calculations. The heat loss is approximately 22,640 Btuh.
Calculations were based on 70°F interior temperature and -20° exterior design
temperature.
There will be one boiler rated at 106,000 Btuh input, Lochinvar model #WBN106. 2"
flue and combustion air piping will go straight up through the roof to a concentric, rated
roof cap.
The general and plumbing permits were processed in 2010. Please do not hesitate to call
