RE: Telemark Townhomes Design Review Application
Dear Telemark Townhomes Board,
The purpose of this letter is to summarize the comments from the Design Review Board
on August 3, 2011. The Design Review Board’s comments were as follows:
Comprehensive elevation drawings are required for adequate review of this
application.
Lighting plan is required to show how all lighting will comply with outdoor lighting
regulations.
Building fin removal is acceptable.
Roof overhangs over front doors may be removed if requested.
Wing wall removal next to doors occurring below chimneys creates floating
chimneys, which are not acceptable. Chimneys should not be cantilevered.
Chimneys may be supported through buttresses or other element.
The mechanical room door may have exhaust requirements- check with building
code.
The Design Review Board suggested three local architects who may be able to
help with design: Millie Aldrich, Danny Swartfeger and Beth Levine.
Please submit full architectural elevations and lighting plan with phasing plans at least
one week prior to the Design Review Board hearing you wish to attend. Design Review
Board hearings are the first and third Wednesday of every month. Please let me know if
you have any additional questions or concerns.
