As requested, we have reviewed our construction observation and testing reports prepared for the Lionshead Transit
Center Phase I Improvements, Vail, Colorado. The purpose of this letter is to present a summary of our construction
observation and testing services for the subject project. The following table presents the construction observation and
testing services that our office provided and our conclusions with regard to these items meeting project specifications.

Notes:
1. Construction observation and testing services were performed from August 17, 2010 thru July 17, 2011.
2. Observations and tests are considered compliant when the informatiou within the construction observation and testing
report meets project specifications or when sufficient documentation has been provided to Koechlein Consulting
Engineers, Inc. by the project team to negate the non-compliant observations and/or tests documented in the reports.
Refer to reports and Deficiency Lists for documentation.
3. Compliaut observations and tests are based strictly on the observations and tests perforxned at the locations indicated in
the reports. Compliant observations and tests are only applicable for areas observed and tested, therefore, it is possible
that areas and construction items not observed or tested are not in compliance with project specifications.
4. Based on testing by Western States Inspections, the structural steel and fireproofing has been installed in compliance
with ro'ect specifications.

Based on our limited observations and testing and the infonnation provided to us by the design and construction
team, it is our opinion that the construction testing and observation items presented in the preceding table have
been conshucted substantially in compliance with the project plans and specifications for Lionshead Transit
Center Phase I Improvements unless otherwise specified in the above table.
