The purpose of this visit was to scn.itinize the implications of shifting the north wall of the northeast bedroom 7' to the north. I have determined that this existing north exterior wall is non-bearing since the roof trusses span paratlel to it in the east-west direction. As such, this wall can be removed and a new wal� can be framed 7' to 4he north at the edge of the existing deck. This new wall can be framed directly over the double joist that cunently exists on the edge. The sill plate of the new wall should be connected to this double joist with 16d nails at 8" o.c.
