This staircase would provide for a safe, convenient access point from the South Frontage Road into the building's parking lot. Vail Mountain has recently relocated several of it's office spaces into the Vail Professional Building, including Human Resources, and pedestrian traffic to and from the building is expected to increase somewhat necessitating the need far this improvement. The structure of the staircase will be painted a darker brown color to adhere to DRB guidelines and blend with the surrounding area. Any disturbed soil will be revegetated with either Vail Mt Mix natural grass blend or new grass sod. The actual stair treads will left in their manufactured state of galvanization. Two to 3 bushed will be installed on the east side of the stair installation area to further shield it from view while not blocking a pedestrian view corridor.
