Re: Dyroff Residence, fire alarm system
Dear Deputy Chief McGee,
This letter is in regards to the fire alarm system at the Dyroff residence located at 1451 Buffehr
Creek Road in Vail. As you are aware, an addition was recently installed onto this home and was
provided with a fire alarm system. However, during that scope of work, the existing home was
not upgraded with new fire alarm devices.
The fire alarm system located in the addition will be expanded to cover the existing home. Vail
Electronics will be doing the work. The installation will be as discussed during our walkthrough
last month.
The scope of work will include the installation of smoke detectors with sounders in bedrooms,
outside of bedrooms and in other required areas. Wireless heat detectors will be installed in the
Kitchen, Laundry and Garage.
We will provide as built plans and calculations at the completion of the project. We are asking
that permit be granted based on this letter and application alone due to the project schedule. As
you know, the fire protection contractor has begun work on the home this week.
