PHOTOELECTRIC SMOKE/HEAT
DETECTOR WITH BUILT-IN
WIRELESS TRANSMIlTER
Honeywell's 5808W3 is a 3V lithium powered,
photoelectronic srnoke/heat detector with a built-in
wireless transmitter. It is intended for use with any
5800 Series Wireless Receiver/Transceiver for residential
installations (for commerciai installations, the 5881 ENHC
or the 5883H receiver is required).
The transmiiter can send alarm, tarnper, maintenance (wfien
control paneis are equipped to process maintenance signais),
and battery condition messages to the system's receiver.
Smoothing algorithms minimize nuisance alarms by
smoothing out short term spikes from dust and smoke —
virtually eliminating nuisance alarrns.
FEATURES
• Improved Robust RF Field
Strength
The distance between the detector
and receiver has been significantly
increased without the need for a
repeater
• Smoothing Algorithms
Mathematical calculations in ihe
detector's software that minimize
nuisance alarms by smoothing out
short term spikes from dust and
smoke
• Smart Check
A signal is sent to the control panel
when the detector requires cleaniny.
This allows a regular, non-emergency
service call to clean the detector
before it goes into alarm.
