This staging plan is for the Excavation and Shoring . _ ■ activities to take place from June through the end of October 2006. � 2. Onsite construction personnel parking is to be as � detailed on the plan. Should additional parking be required, construction personnel shall utilize Paid, � Permit and Free Parking locations per the attached . Parking Map. Construction personnel can utilize Public Transportation and Shuttle Services to � commute to and from the parking areas to the jobsite. � 3. Equipment parking will be on the East side of the � Access Ramp adjacent to the staging area. As the ■ excavation progresses the equipment parking will move into the excavated area to allow work to � proceed. ■ 4. The Staging area for the shoring materials will mo�re from the area indicated on the plan to an � area with in the excavation as work proceeds. � 5. Dumpsters and Pot-O Johns are to be placed on site as indicated on the plan. � 6.. Temporary construction fencing is currendy � installed on site and consists of 6' high chain link ■ on posts driven into the ground. 7. See the attached Certified Traffic Control plan for � information regarding flagging, method of ■ handling traffic, etc. ■ 8. Construction activities and traffic control measures �vill not be allowed to cause an��obstructions or � delay�s to any Emergenc}; Maintenance or Transit Vehicles and Personnel for the duration of the � project. � 9. A Covered, Lighted Pedestrian Walkway along ■ West Meadow Drive is to be constructed per ADA requirements (see attached detail). � 10. A graveled pedestrian walkwa��will be ■ constructed along the South Frontage Road and Vail Road as indicated on the plan. � 11. Thousands of people come to Vail each year to sightsee,recreate,shop and to enjoy everything the Vail Valley has to offer.The community and merchants rely upon our guests to � generate revenue. Our summer/winter guests expect a pleasant experience while in Vail, � To insure that all of the proposed construction has as little negative impact on the community and on our guest as possible,the Town of Vail finds it imperative to create and implement the Vail Village and LionsHead Village Construction Hours Handout. � It would be irresponsible for the Town of Vail,the construction contractors and the merchants,to not actively participate to minimize � the impact of construction in the Vail and LionsHead Village areas. ■ The Vail Village Streetscape Project will continue through 2006. Improvements scheduled for � 2006 will be concentrated along Gore Creek Drive west of the Children's Fountain, Gore Creek Promenade and around the frontage of the Mill Creek Court Building. Additional streetscape � improvements are scheduled to begin along East Meadow Drive. All construction projects and/or remodels within the Vail Village Core Area should contact ■ Scott Bluhm, Town of Vail Streetscape Coordinator, at 970-477-3418 for further information. � ■ Givens � The following givens are intended to provide the basic foundation by which construction will be completed in � the villages: ■ The public's health, safety and welfare shall be honored at all times. � � Adequate pedestrian, loading/delivery, vehicle, and emergency vehicle access and circulation shall be � maintained. � Roadways and pedestrian walkways shall be kept clean and free of dirt and debris. ! All construction deliveries, equipment, tools and materials entering the Vail Village and pedestrian areas � must go through CheckPoint Charlie. All LionsHead construction activity must go to the Vail Police Department for a parking permit.
