HELP WITH LGM 3D PROOFING
Below are basic help and instructions on how to use a 3d PDF to proof your model. If you do not want to use Acrobat Reader to markup
your model, feel free to give us a call at 970.827.5274 or 800.448.8808 to discuss any changes that need to be made. 3d PDFs are
extremely powerful tools that can make your proofing experience quick and easy, with accurate results, so we encourage you to try the
commenting and markup tools offered by Adobe to tell us what changes you would like to see, if any. We appreciate all feedback, so
please feel free to let us know what you think of this process.
BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING:
If your model looks like it has holes in it:
Go to Edit>Preferences>3D and check "enable double sided rendering" (you want it to be ON)
If the PDF is not behaving as you would like it to, check to make sure you have the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader,
version 8. It is available for free download, click HERE
If you experience computer freezing, allow Acrobat Reader to fully load the PDF before attempting to manipulate the file.

Sticky Note Tool Callout Tool Line/Shape Tools Pencil Tool
Use the tools in the Commenting and Markup toolbar to make comments on the 3D PDF. Comments that you make will automatically
be added to the comments list, so we at LGM can go through them one at a time. If your comment goes away after you make it, don't
worry, it did not get deleted. It is hidden by default after you leave that view so the screen does not become cluttered with sticky notes
and markup. Use the drawing tools (shapes and pencil) to point out exact places in the model that need attention. Use the callout tool to
attach comments to particular places in the model.

Navigate Preset Views Display Modes
Once you activate the 3d model by clicking on it, the 3d toolbar will appear at the top of the 3d window. This toolbar will allow you to
manipulate the 3d model in several ways. Use the Rotate, Spin, Pan, and Zoom buttons to navigate the model. The views section
allows you to jump between views. The rest of the 3d toolbar allows you to change the appearance of the model. Switch between
orthographic and perspective projection, change the render mode, change the lighting, change the background color, and create a
section view with the buttons on the right side of the 3d toolbar.
COMMENTS TAB
Open the comments tab to list all the comments attached to the PDF. You can click a comment to display it on the screen, reply to it,
set it's status, or delete it. This list serves as an index of comments and markup made on the PDF.
