The Reduced Pressure Principle Backflow Preventer shall be ASSEO Listed 1013, rated to 180°F and supplied with
full port ball valves. The main body and access covers shall be bronze (ASTM B 584), the seat ring and all internal
polymers shall be NSFO Listed NorylT"" and the seat disc elastomers shall be silicone. The first and second checks
shall be accessible for maintenance without removing the relief valve or the entire device from the line. If installed
indoors, the installation shall be supplied with an air gap adapter and integral monitor switch.The Reduced Pressure

BERMAD 700E Deluge Valves are globe valves with - -

The BERMAD 700E valves are used for water flow control �� � ,��
in Deluge, Pressure Control Deluge, Preaction or Water/
Foam systems, and are manufactured from materials � �F_ '
suitable for freshwater or alternative for seawater, foam � - � ` �
concentrate or other corrosive fluids.
The 700E Deluge Valve is held closed by system water
pressure trapped in the control chamber. When the
releasing system operates, pressure is released from the -
control chamber, and the seal disc opens to allow water
to flow into the system.
The 700E valve body design includes a single, full bore
seat with unobstructed flow path, free of any in-line ribs,
supporting cage, or stem guides. Main FEaturEs

3. The deluge valve and the control trim shall be
maintained with accordance to the most recent IOM
procedures for the specific model. A periodic test
schedule should be established also with accordance
to the site conditions and owner regulations.

General Instructions
Store and apply between 20°F (-7°C) and 140°F (60°C): remains crusable to -50°F (-45°C). Stir
before using.
1. Threads should be properly formed or cut with a good die and free of all oils, dirt,
moisture, etc.
2. Apply Spears`� BLUE 75TM freely to male threads with brush applicator. Brush well into
threads to ensure a leak-free joint.
3. Assemble joint in usual manner. Take care not to over tighten. System may be placed into
service immediately.
Caution: Do not take internally.
Do not burn - fumes may be harmful.
Wash hands and exposed areas after handling.
FIRST AID
Eyes: Flush 15 minutes with clean water.
Skin: Wash with soap and water.
Ingestion: Only if conscious, give large amounts of water and induce vomiting. Obtain
medical attention.
User shall determine the suitability of the product for its intended use and all risk and

Features — Fig. 22 incorporates features which protect the pipe and ease installation. The flared edge design pro-
tects CPVC pipe from any rough surface. It is easily attached to the building structure using the special UL Listed hex
head self threading screw furnished with the product, this is the minimum size fastener acceptable. It is recommended
that rechargeable electric drills fitted with a hex socket attachment to be used as installation tools. No impact tools
(such as a hammer) or impact fasteners (such as drive screws or nails) are allowed. Damage has been know to result
from installations using impact type tools. No pre-drilling of a pilot hole in wood is required.

Function — Intended to perform as a hanger/restrainer to support only ,
CPVC piping used in automatic fire sprinkler systems. Can be installed
on the top or on the bottom of a beam. The Fig. 24 can also function �
as a restrainer to prevent the upward movement of the sprinkler head
during activation. _

Approvals— Underwriters' Laboratories Listed in the USA (UL) and i
Canada (cUL) to support fire sprinkler piping. May be installed in wood using '
fasteners supplied with product, or into minimum 20 gauge steel using (2) �� _. '
1/4" x 1" tek type screw. Meets and exceeds the requirements of NFPA 13,
13R and 13D.
Features — Fig. 24 incorporates features which protect the pipe and
ease installation. The flared edge design protects the CPVC pipe from '
any rough surface. Easily attaches to the building structure using the two J ���
UL Listed hex head self threading screws*furnished with the product. It $
is recommended that rechargeable electric drills fitted with a hex socket �
attachment be used as installation tools. No impact tools (such as a hammer)
or impact fasteners (such as drive screws or nails) are allowed. Damage has �.B q
been known to result from installations using impact type tools. No pre-drilling
of a pilot hole in wood is required.
