LAND PLANNING & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT April 10, 2012 Mr. Bill Gibson Town of Vail 75 South Frontage Road Vail, CO 81657 RE: Ford Park Improvement Plan DRB Conceptual Review Dear Bill: Enclosed you will find material for an April 18th Design Review Board Conceptual Review of the Town of Vail's improvement plans for Ford Park. Material provided includes: 1. DRB Application Form 2. Ford Park Illustrative Plan Phase I Improvements 3. 11x17 Conceptual Plan set 4. Disc of Illustrative Plan and Conceptual Plan set This application is provided on behalf of the Town and the three main Park Stakeholders —the Vail Valley Foundation, the Betty Ford Alpine Garden and the Vail Recreation District. The design team includes AECOM and Zehren Associates. You will notice in the plan set drawings prepared by Zehren Assoicates for the restroom/maintenance building, the restroom/concessions building and the Gerald Ford Amphitheater (restrooms, overlook and lawn seating). AECOM is in the process of completing plans for the athletic fields (and the two restroom buildings), pedestrian circulation, East Betty Ford Way and transit/parking facilities.
