Monroe & Newell Engineers Inc. is the Engineer of Record for the new garden pavilion at
the Louthan residence. In the structural specifications the concrete strength for the new
structural floor slab and grade beams for the pavilion is specified as 4,500 psi. This
strength is not required structurally. A concrete strength of 3,500 psi is structurally
sufficient for the support of the pavilion above. The concrete mix design shall comply
with all specifications for an exposed aggregate finish.
