Per our conversation this.afternoon, I have scheduled the application for the next Design Review Board hearing on Wednesday, August 18rh, at 3pm. The Design Review Boaid will visit the site at their-pre- meeting that morning and then make a decision regarding the railing style change at the public hearing at 3pm. As it states in the Vail Town Code regarding duplex development, "Unified architectural and landscape design shall include, but not be limited to, the use of compatible building materials, architectural style, scale, roof forms, massing, architectural detalls, site grading and landscape materials and features" (Section 14-10-E-1). Though the railings are currently unmatched, any upgrade to a development generally requires matching architectural details on both sides of a duolex.
