Dear Mr. Suther:
Enclosed are the forms you required to proceed with an inspection of a
dying Lodge Pole Pine at 4237 Columbine Drive in Vail Colorado. I
would like to remove the dead tree before the winter season and have
estimates from several arborists.
The tree in question will be easy to identify
not only by its brown foliage but also by its
location directly behind the mailbox
cluster.

I've just retumed home and found your E-mail of 8/15/07. Thank you. The phone numbers are correct on
the form I submitted and the only reason I can think ofthat prevented your calls from going through is
my caller ID that does not accept blocked or unidentified callers.
At any rate, thanks for the permission to remove the dead lodge pole pine from my front yard at 4237
Columbine Drive in Vail. This tree is located on a "peninsula" of land between two parking areas. One
in front of my dwelling and one eastwardly owned by Mr.Tom Fowler. Mr. Fowler owns about the
eastern third ofthat land and is currently landscaping his portion which includes installing and irrigation
system.
Mr. Fowler told me in July that he intends to plant a tree on his portion of that "peninsula" to afford
eventual aftemoon shade to his deck and parking area. There is insufficient room for me to plant another
large tree in this space so I am unable to promise to plant the 8-10 foot spruce tree that you requested.
Should the lack of this promise revoke your permission, please let me know at your earliest
convenience. Otherwise, I plan to have the dead tree removed during the month of September, 2007.
