Notice: Abatement: The Director of Public Works may notifu and require any person who

Director's employment a person who violates or causes another to violate the same, top
remove such sand. gravel. rocks, mud. din, snow. ice or any other debris or material within
twenty four (24) hours after receipt of said noticc by the Director of Public Works. ln the
event tle person so notified does not comply with the notice within the period oftime herein
specificd, the Director of Public Works. or otler authorizcd agent, may causc any such sand"
gravel, rocks, mud, dirt, snow, ice, debris or any othel matcrial to be removed liom any street
or allcy at the cxpcnse ofthc notified.
Exceptions: The provisions of subscction A hcreof shall not be applicable:
t. Within the immediate area of any construction. maintenance or repair project of any
strect or allcy or of any water main. scwer main, elcctricity line, gas line, telephonc line
or any appurtenance thereto;
2. To dcposits of sand. dirt or matcria.ls neccssary for thc protcction ofthc public safcty; and
3. To public areas designated for the dumping or depositing of said materials
Summons; Penalty: As an alternativc to the notice for removal provided in subsection B
above- any
pcrson who violatcs or causcs anothcr to violatc the samc. may be issued a summons to
appear befbre the Municipal Coufi of thc Town for said violations, and upon being found
guilty ofa violation hercundor be punishcd as provided in Scction l-4-l of this code.
Noticel Penalty: lt is unlalvful for any person to fail or refuse to comply with the notice of
the
Director of Public Works as provided in subsection B hercof. and any such person shall' in
addition to pavment of the expense of removal incurred by the Director of Public Works, as
provided in subsection B hereoi upon being found guilty ofa violation hereunder- be

If this permit requires a Town of Vail Fire Department Approval, Engineer's (Public Works)
reyiew and approval, a Planning Deparhnent review of Health Departrnent review, and a review
by the Building Deparftnent, the estimated time for a total review may take as long as three (3)
weeks.
All commercial (largc or small) and all multi-family permits will have to follow the above
mentioned maximum requirements. Residential and small projects should take a lesser amount of
time. However, if residential or smaller projects impact the various above mentioned
departments with regard to necessary review, tlese projects may also take tlre three (3) week
period.
Every attempt will bc made by this departrnent to expedite this permit as soon as possible.

the permit is not picked up by t}re expiration date, that I must still pay the llan Check Fee and

and 12'14. Gross Rcsidentiat Floor Area (GRFA) shail bo as described in secrion
18.04 0f the Town ol Vail Municipal code. lt should also be noted that tho
provision for an additionar 425 sq. tt. of GRFA, which is applicablo to certain zone
