The purpose of the site visit was to obserue the framing condition above a doorway that had been cut into a concrete bearing wall, which is located at the soutb side of rhe north mecha$ical room in the lobby |,evel. The wall opening was situated centered under the hotel hallway above. It appeared as ifthis opening had been cut during a previous ronodel ofthe building and a steel beam header had been installed. Several large holes had been out into this deadsr beam causing the beafir to be weakened. The concrete wall abovo the beam had large cracks and appeared to have no stnrctural value at this time. On Sheet 41 .02 there are two second-story areas which are not identified for use. One area is served by two stairways and the other is not identified and appears from the plans to have no doors or stairways. 3.. Although I understand this to be an extensive renovation, no site plan or other information is included with the plans indicating property lines or other buildings. This may be helpful to me. The Grease lnterceptor Addition drawings we prepared for the West Vail Lodge, submitted for permit on Monday 10120103 depict all of the floor sinks that are being tied into the 3250 gallon grease interceptor, including Nozawa's. We have been contracted by The West Vail Lodge to prepare MEP engineering documents for Nozawa's and are working diligently to complete them ASAP. Those plans should be completed and submitted the mid part of next week. The Nozawa's MEP engineering documents will not indicate any new waste connections to the grease interceptor. All of the new sanitary waste connections from the floor sinks and floor drains will connect directly into the existing main 8" sanitary that is routed directly under Nozawa's floor slab. Breckenridge Mechanical conducted a drain locate test with a router and camera on Monday of last week to establish the main drains location and invert elevation. My request is: could the Grease Interceptor Addition drawings be reviewed / approved prior to AEC completing the drawings for Nozawa's on the premise that all of the waste connections tied into the grease interceptor are indicated on those drawings and no new connections from Nozawa's will be indicated on their tenant finish documents.
