(The operation mode changes in order of O - @ every time the EMERGENCY OPERATION switch is Dressed.) a In starting the heating operation, indoor unit fan may not operate to prevent blowing cool air. Please wait lor a few minutes until the temperature of heat exchanger rises and warm air blows out. FOR MOVEMENT AND MAINTENANCE 7-1 REMOVING AND REINSTALLINGTHE FRONT PANEL FRONT PANEL REMOVAL O Belore installing the panel, s6t the horizonlal vane to the position as shown in the figure below. O Attach the bottom of the panel under the horizontal vane. @ Set the top ol the panel. @ Push as the arrow mark on the panel to flx it to the air conditioner. 7-2 REMOVING THE INDOOR UNIT Remove the bottom ot th€ indoor unit from the installation plate. O Remove the front panel. (See FRONT PANEL REMOVAL shown above.) O Insert llat screwdrivers into the square holes at the lett and right bottom of the indoor unit and push them up; lhe bottom ot the indoor unit goes down and the hooks ars released. 7.3 GAS CHARGE O Connect gas cylinder to the service port of stop valve (3-way). O Perform air purge of the pipe (or hose) coming kom refrigerant gas cylinder. O Replenish specified amount ol the refrigerant, whil€ operating the air conditioner lor coolino. Insert the screwdriver, etc. (not sharp-edged tool) into the hole at the 6nd of the cap and insert the cap fully into the drain pan. 9 Insert thc draln hos6 Into the soctlon to whlch the drain hose ls to be attachod at the rear rlght ot the hdoor uriit. lnsert the drain hose fully into lho drain pan. When the units ol these models are shipped from the factory auto restart function is set to ON. lf you want to know how to release this function, consult the s€rvice cemer.. When the indoor unit is controlled with the remote controller, the operation mode, the set temperature, and the fan spsed are m€morized by the indoor electronic control PC. board. The auto restart function sets to work the moment the power has restor€d after power failure, then, lhe unit will restart automatically. lf the unit is operated in "l FEEL CONTROL'mode before power fajlure, the operation is not memorized. In "l FEEL CONTBOU'mode, the operation is decid€d by the initial room temperature at (re)start. O lI the power ol lhe indoor unit ('l 15V AC) has been cut, the operation settangs rematn. Connect the gaugs manifold valve and ihe vacuum pump to the service port of the valve on the oas oiDe side of the outdoor unit. Bun the vacuum pump, (Vacuumize for more than 15 Check the vacuum with the gauge manilold valve, then close the gauge manilold Leave as il is for one or two minutes. Make sure the pointer gauge manilold valve rernains in the same position. Conlirm that the pressure gauge shows -O.'101 MPa lcaugel (-30 in. Hg). Removo the gauge manitold valve quickly from the service port of the stop valve. Atter refrigerant pipes are connected and evacuated, fully open all stop valves on both sides of gas pipe and liquid pipe. Operating without fully opening lowers the performance and this causes trouble. Pipe length up to 25 tl. No gas charge is needed. Pipe length exceeding 25 tl. Charge the prescribed amount of gas. (r€fer to 3) Tighten the cap to the service port to obtain the initial status. Retighten the cap ol the stop valve. For connection, align the center of both pipe and union, then tighten the first 3 to 4 turns in flare nut by hand.. For tightening the union parl of the indoor unit side, use the table below as a standard and tighten the flare nut using two wrenches. Excessave tightening damages the flare section. INSULATION AND TAPING O Cover piping joints with pipe cover @ For outdoor unit side, surely insulate every piping including valves. @ using piping tape lD, apply taping starting from the entry of outdoor unit.o Fix the end ot piping tape O with adhesive tape. . When piping has to be arranged through above ceiling, closet or area wher6 the temperature and humidity are high, wind additional commercially sold insulation for Drevention of condensalion. 6-3 PUFGING PROCEDURES.LEAK TEST Tightening torque tr. . tb Cap tor service port 10 to 13 Cap for stop valve 15 to 22 6-4 TEST RUN E@ .
