Enclosed are the necessary documents concerning releveling the
foundaElon in your ValI, Colorador home.
The foundation appears to be I5-t5n thick. Exploratory excavation
Indicates there aie pad footings under the 8xl2 beams and at the
foundation corners. It is posslble that the front of the home
(north side) is bearing on iitt material . These conditions have
resulted in settlement at this area.
The layout of the interior beams and stringers_puts a 12,000 pound
ioaa ai each 8x12 beam pocket. This loading, in addition to the
aead loaas, live loadsr roof loads, etc., necessitaEes pier
soacinqs of 3 ft. on center for the side walls. The front waII is
i^ess l6avily loaded and pier spacings of 5 ft ' 2 in' are
recomrnended.
The_ findings and recomnendations indicated in this report are based
on bty"icai inspection of the structure and past structuraL
engineering exPerience.
