3. Refinishing the outside balconies floors.
€ 4. Replace existing windows and sliding doors.
5. No structural changes are required or any access to any other unit will be required.
All permits have been approved by the Town of Vail. Highland Builders Corp. would like to get
started as soon as possible.

Model Fl Res Pendent sprinklers are fast response
sprinklers combining excellent durability, high
sensitivity glass-bulb and low profile decorative
design. The F1 Res Horizontal Sidewall sprinklers
are equally attractive when above ceiling piping
cannot be used.
The 3mm glass-bulb pendent sprinklers, wih a K
Factor of 4.9 for pendent and 4.4 lor horizontal
sidewall, permit he efficient use of residential water
supplies for sprinkler coverage in residential fire
protection design.
The low flow F1 Res sprinklers are specially
engineered for last thermal response to meet the
sensitive fir€ protection application needs ol he
latest residential market standards (UL 1626
Standard '). Upon fire conditions, rising heat causes
a sprinkler's heat-sensitive glass-bulb to shatter,
releasing the watenvay for water flovv onto the
deflector, evenly disfibuting the discharged water to
control a fire.

Model RFC43 Concealed Residential Sprinklers are
fast response residential fusible solder link automatic
sprinklers. Residential sprinklers differ from standard
sprinklers primarily in their respons€ time and water
distribution patterns.
Model RFC43 sprinklers discharge water in a
hemispherical pattern below he sprinkler deflector.
Residential distribution patterns are higher and
generally contain a finer droplet size than standard
sprinkler pattems.
The combination of speed of operation and high
discharge pattern required for residential sprinklers
has demonstrated, in fire testing, an ability for
controlling residential fires, and thereby providing
significant evacuation time for occupants.
The RFC43 Sprinkler provides the best form of fire
protection bycombining an attractive appearance and
Vz" (13mm) of cover adjustmentfor ease of installation.
The small diameter cover plate is easily and positively
attached and blends into the ceiling, concealing te
most dependable lire protection available, an
automatic sprinkler system.
Ihe RFC43 is a UL Listed Residential Sprinklerto be
installed in the residential portions of any occupancy in
accordance with NFPA 13, 13R, & 13D.
The RFC43 can reduce the need for precise cutting
of drop nipples. The threaded cover plate assembly
can be adjusted without tools to fit accurately against
the ceiling. The fire protection system need not be shut
dorryn to adjust or remove the cover plate assembly.

Dear Larry:
The Design Review Board reviewed the application for the deck enclosures at the
Creekside Building. However, due to the current state of the Creekside Building, the
Design Review Board stated that they would not vote to approve any additions until the
entire building is improved and previous approvals are completed. These improvements
include painting, finishing all trim, and meeting all of the requirements outlined in a
previous letter to the Creekside Building owners (see attached). As a result of the
Design Review Board's discussion, I have withdrawn the application for the CCI exterior
alteration until all of these issues can be resolved, You will not need to reapply for the
CCI exterior alteration. However, the proposal will need to be re-advertised in
accordance with the Town code. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate

PUBLIC WORKS PERMIT PROCESS
How it relates to Building Permits:
Fill out our check list provided with a buitdino oermit application.
lf yes was answered to any of the above questions then a "public Way,' is
required. You can pick up an application at either Community Development,
located at 75 S. Frontage Road or Public works, located at 1309 Vait Valley Drive.
Notice sign offs for utility companies. All utitities must fietd verify (locate)
respective utilities prior to signing application. Some utility companies require up
to a 48 hour notice to schedule a locate.
A construction traffic control/staging plan must be prepared on a separate sheet
of paper.An approved site plan may also be used. This plan will show locations
of all traffic control devices(signs, cones, etc..) and the work zone, (area of
construction, staging, etc..). This plan will expire on oct. 1Sth. and will need to
be resubmitted for approval through the winter.
sketch of work being performed must be submifted indicating dimensions (length,
width & depth of work). This may be drawn on the traffic control plan or a site
plan for the job.
Submit completed application to the Public Works's office for review. lf required,
locates will be scheduled for the Town of Vail Electricians and lrrigation crew. The
locates take place in the morning but, may require up to 48 hours to perform.
The Public work's construction Inspector will review the application and approve
or disapprove the permit. You will be contacted as to the status and any that may
needed. Most permits are released within 48 hours of being received, but please
allow up to one week to process.
As soon as the permit is processed, a copy will be faxed to Community
Development allowing the "Building Permif'to be released. please do not confuse
the "Public way Permit" with a "Building Permit" to do work on a project itself.
NOTE:
' The.abovaprocess lsfor work in a.publlc way"only.* Public Way Permits are valid only until November 1Sth.* A new Public Way Permlt is required each year if work ls not comptete.

Effective June 20, L991 , the Town of Vail Building Department has
developed the following procedures to ensure that new construction sites have adequately established proper drainage from building sites along and adjacent Lo Town of Vail roads or streets.
The Town of Vail PubJ.ic lforks Department wiJ-l- be required to inspect and approve drainage adjaeent to Town of Vail roads or streets and the installation of temporary or permanent culverts at
access points fron the road or street on to the construction site.
Such approval must be obtained prior to any request for inspection by the Town of Vail Building Department for footings or temporary electrical or any other inspection. Please calf 479-2L60 to request an inspection from the Public Works Departmen!. Allow a
minimum of 24 hour notice.
Also, the Town of Vail Public Works Department will be approving all final drainage and culvert instaLlation wit,h resulting road pacching as necessary. Such approval must be obtained prior to Fj.nal Certificate of Occupancy issuance.
