The scope of work i ncludes an interior remodel, lower level build ing addition, elevator addition, fire alarm system replacement and upgrade/extension of the fire pro tection system . Evans Chaffee is the General Contractor on the project. P hasing : Please see the Partial Occupancy Plan and Life Safety Plan for the Phasing of the project. Phase 1 is scheduled to open on July 3, 2012 and includes the Stacks area, Restrooms and Main Entry. Phase 2 is scheduled to open at the end of August and includ es the Meeting Room area and Lower Level. Egress : An egress plan is included as part of the Partial Occupancy Plan. Access: Fire Department a ccess to the building will not be changed during construction. Fire Alarm: The fire alarm system will be offline during construction. A full replacement of the system is being performed by Vail Electronics . B y July 3 rd , the fire alarm panel will be functional and all areas to be occupied will have full coverage smoke/heat detection and occupancy notification. Fire Protection: The existing building is partially spri nklered. As part of this scope, the existing fire protection system is being extended to provide full NFPA 13 coverage throughout the building. By July 3 rd , the fire protection system will be fully functional in all areas to be occupied.
