We were requested to visit the above referenced site to observe the structural damage caused by a fire. I
' entered both the second and third floors. The structural damage appeared to be limited to a few floor
j joists and some floor sheathing above the exterior stairwell on the west side of the structure and to the
� roof hip beam on the south side of the third floor.
� The damaged floor joists shall be replaced with the same size I-joists and shall span the same distance -
� from the cantilevered beam at the south west corner to the (2)-2x12 beam. Floor sheathing shall be
� replaced to match existing depth. The roof hip beam, consisting of a 5 1/8 x 30 Glu-Lam, appears to
� contain minimal damage (approximately 1/8" to 1/4" of overall width), and no reinforcing appears to be
i required. However, we should be contacted to observe this beam once cleaning has been completed to
i measure the remaining wood structure.
