Minor Exterior Alteration
General Information: This application is required for all proposals involving minor changes to buildings and site improve-
ments, such as roofing, painting, window additions, landscaping, fences, retaining walls, etc. Applicable Vail Town
Code sections can be found at ,ww vailaov.com under Vail Information — Town Code Online. All projects requiring de-
sign review must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit application. An application for Design Review
cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Community Development Department, as outlined in
the submittal requirements. The project may also need to be reviewed by the Town Council and /or the Planning and
Environmental Commission. Design review approval expires one year from the date of approval, unless a building per-
mit is issued and construction commences.

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that violation(s) of the building code as adopted by the
Town of Vail exist at 1711 Geneva Drive. Reference section 114 International Building Code
2009 edition. All repairs, work, alterations being done in violation of the building codes
constitutes illegal action and shall cease. Further, in order to stay legal action a building permit
shall be obtained to abate the illegal condition.
The following illegal action has been observed:
1. Building permit B04 -0351 and PO4 -0165 are not completed. (expired)
2. Building permit B09 -0141 Deck rebuild, has not been inspected. (expired)
3. Electrical for new hot tub, no permit was applied for and no inspections.
4. Concrete pad not approved (hot tub area)
Failure to resolve the aforementioned items within 30 days of the receipt of this letter will require
the Town of Vail to proceed with legal action allowed by section 114.3 of the International
Building Code 2009 edition as adopted by the Town of Vail.
