Minor Exterior Alteration
General Information: This application is required for all proposals involving minor changes to buildings and site improve-
ments,such as roofing,painting,window additions,landscaping,fences,retaining walls,etc. Applicable Vail Town
Code sections can be found at www.vailgov.com under Vail Information-Town Code Online. All projects requiring de-
sign review must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit application. An application for Design Review
cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Community Development Department,as outlined in
the submittal requirements. The project may also need to be reviewed by the Town Council and/or the Planning and
Environmental Commission. Design review approval expires one year from t e date of approval, unless a building per-
mit is issued and construction commences.

Dear Warren:
Please accept this DRB application for replacement of windows damaged by fire at
Millrace Condominiums, Bld'g. 6-C.
The windows will be replaced "in-kind" with the same manufacturer, type, model, color
and size as the existing windows which were installed two years ago.
Additionally, the fire damaged the ceiling of an exterior stairway which will be repaired
"in-kind" using the same species, T&G, and matching stain finish as the existing ceiling.
A new recessed can light will replace the damaged light.
Other exterior work may include cleaning any smoke stains from the exterior stucco or
trim, and repairing any damage caused by the installation of plywood panels over the
broken windows.
I understand that there will be no fee for this application and that you will probably issue
a staff approval.
Would you please notify Martin Haeberle upon approval so that he can complete the
building permit process expeditiously.
