Allen Castro planting plan.pdf
Hey Kursten,
Please find attached the planting plan included with the building permits for the Allen and Castro
duplex. Please be aware that pursuant to Section 12-11-3, Vail Town Code, either owner can plant
additional vegetation beyond those identified on the landscaping plan without Town of Vail design
review approval:
“A. Scope: No person shall commence removal of vegetation, site preparation, building
construction or demolition, dumping of material upon a site, sign erection, exterior alteration or
enlargement of an existing structure, paving, fencing or other improvements of open space within
the corporate limits of the town unless design approval has been granted as prescribed in this
chapter. The addition of plant materials to existing landscaping, gardening and landscape
maintenance shall be exempt from this provision.”
Please be aware that disputes between duplex owners concerning the location of additional
landscape plantings is a civil matter between the two parties that does not involve the Town of
Vail.
Sincerely,
Bill
