No reference to which note "6" is applicable. Volume 5 FAFP 0.01 Not Approved – Resubmit. Fire Protection General Note 7. does not reflect Town of Vail adopted standards requiring compliance with NFPA 13, 72, 14 , etc and amendments to the International Fire Code. Carbon Monoxide sequence requires activation of a piezo sounder for devices at the Loading Dock and inside dwelling units. Fire alarm signals are required to be distinct. CO detectors must not be set up to cause confusion with alarm signals. Provide means for silencing or tie into fire alarm if CO levels reach a predetermined and agreed up level. Resubmit. Fire Protection General Note 13 appears to be mis-worded. “Addressable out module” appears to be intended for “output” module. Control modules may be a better choice depending on specific nomenclature. Fire Alarm Matrix does not provide for audible notification for smoke detectors in the guest rooms. More discussion is needed on smoke detectors at TOS in pressurized elevator shafts. Note 1 on the Fire Alarm Matrix is not approved. Fire Alarm Notification Matrix uses codes A – V but does not provide a definition or legend. FAFP 0.02 Ground cover is noted as 4’6”. Four foot six inches is inadequate. See ERWSD standards for requirements on PRV. Install single check ahead of RPBD. FA10.B.1.0 Town of Vail specifications require fire alarm and fire sprinkler plans to be submitted on ¼ inch scale. 1/8 scale is acceptable if plans are clear. 1/16 scale is not acceptable. FA10B1.1- FA10B1.3 Detection not shown in Valet. Use of some rooms not shown. General Note: 1/16 plans not reviewed. Print is not readable. The use of the rooms is not shown and we are therefore unable to determine the appropriate type of detector. Devices are not on reflected ceiling plans so the location and spacing cannot be determined. Review of fire alarm plans suspended. FP10B1.1 Plans notes are copied over by text. General note: 1/16 scale plans are not acceptable. Fire protection plans are not approved. VT01 – Minor details in general notes should be refined to reflect actual conditions. Provide phase protection for elevator motors. Fire phone is not required. Plans do not appear to have been coordinated between the FPE and the various trades. VT plans are not stamped. Provide Marriott Corp Fire Protection review stamp prior to re-submittal of FA, FP and VT plans. Volume 6 No comments.
