Project Narrative: 275 Beaver Dam Road, Vail CO 81657
The purpose of this project is the rejuvenation of an old landscape. The project
consists of updating and upgrading existing conditions to a more consistent
means of addressing water issues and use of existing landscape. Present
landscape is 20 plus years old and consists of planted spruce and lodge pole
pines with a blue grass lawn. Irrigation needs: modify to make more efficient the
existing drip system and lawn heads. The existing landscape is not only
outdated, but also the lawn is no longer used by the owners, and unnecessarily
consumes large amounts of water just to maintain it. This project elects to
remove the existing blue grass lawn and replace it with native and non - native
plant materials, creating a more rural park -like setting while also keeping with the
guidelines of TOV. It also addresses the need to remedy the unsightly installation
of the utilities at the entrance to this property. In essence, this project will
enhance the landscape of 275 Beaver Dam Rd in all respects, as well as
reducing the consumption of water.
