I am sending you this correspondence to inform you that the preliminary plan for the
proposed "Ever Vail" project will be heard by the Town of Vail Planning and Environmental
Commission on January 10, 2011. This correspondence is being sent to provide you an
opportunity to provide any additional input regarding the preliminary plan proposed by
Vail Resorts Development Company.
Your agency was initially contact through correspondence dated November 14, 2008, to
comment on this preliminary plan. This correspondence was done pursuant to Chapter 13-
3, Major Subdivisions, Vail Town Code, requiring notification of certain agencies that may
be impacted by the proposal of a preliminary plan and subsequent major subdivision.
Ever Vail is comprised of the current Vail Resorts Maintenance Yard, Vail Professional
Building, Cascade Crossing, the former Amoco /BP gas station site, the Glen Lyon Office
Building, and a portion of South Frontage Road West right -of -way. A significant aspect of
this preliminary plan is a relocation of the South Frontage Road West right -of -way to the
north of its current location. The proposed new South Frontage Road West right -of -way
alignment would locate the road adjacent to the existing interstate right -of -way.
Since November 14, 2008, Vail Resorts Development Company has been working with the
Colorado Department of Transportation regarding the abandonment of portions of existing
right -of -way, the relocation of the South Frontage Road and creation of a new right -of -way.
Additionally, they have been working with utility providers with regard to the relocation of
certain services and the supply of services to their proposed development.
Please take a look at the enclosed preliminary plan and please provide any additional
comments you might have to at the above address, wcampbell@vailgov.com, or at 970 -479-
2148. If you would like a larger copy to review please email me and I will respond with an
attached pdf which can be printed at whatever dimensions you desire. Your comments are
requested by no later than January 5, 2011.
