Minor Exterior Alteration Description - Modification
Purpose: Significant erosion has been occurring along the south side of a bank at
the end of our driveway on the southern border of our property due to rain water
runoff. We would like to propose a low rock wall (�high) to stabilize the
erosion. ,��F,r '
Additionally,we would like to install an illuminated boulder with an address marker
at the end of our driveway to provide improved visibility coming into and out of the
driveway and to highlight our address. We were going to place two bollard style
light posts to help with illumination of the driveway.
Description:
For the rock wall:
Due to the erosion, we would like to create a rock that is 3ft or less wall using small
boulders (1-2ft) to stabilize the dirt that currently creates the embankment. A
number of trees at the top of the embankment have their roots exposed and are
likely to fall into the street or die if they are not stabilized. The rock wall would be a
continuation of the existing rock wall at the end of our driveway and that of our
neighbors. Our neighbors have a rock wall that exists on the property to the east
that this wall would join creating a more seamless appearance. Ideally, I would like
to have wildflowers and other vegetation grow on the dirt above the rock wall to
help stabilize the erosion.
For the address marker and the lighting of the driveway:
We would like to install a single boulder with address marker near the entrance to
the driveway. The boulder would be at least 10 ft from the edge of the asphalt of
Streamside Circle and likely closer to 15ft The front of the boulder would have
etched numbers or mounted numbers with "4551"to highlight our address. There
would be a small spotlight to illuminate the numbers to improve visibility in the
dark. We would also like to install two bollard style landscape lighting posts
proximal to the address boulder that would be on our property that would help
illuminate the driveway in the evening. The bollard post lights would be completely
sealed to the sky and dark-sky compliant and be no higher than 30in. See the
attached BEGA bollards that we have placed an order for which are 27.5 inches high.

and the lights are provided on the topographic images included with the application.

7238LED installation:
1. Loosen(2)set screws on garden bollard to release anchor i
base.
2. Bring 12V-24V supply wiring into the bottom of the anchor base
and feed through to the top until there is 12"of cable coming up
through the top of the anchor base. Bollard wiring
3. Fix anchor base to existing foundation or surface using sufficient
anchor hardware, supplied by others.
4. Make wire splices from supply wiring coming out of anchor
base to bollard wiring coming down from bollard shaft. For Supply wiring
maximum wire run lengths,see table to the right. ,.
5. Push splices into bollard shaft. Anchor base flange
6. Mount bollard onto anchor base until the bottom of the
bollard hits the anchor base flange.Tighten(2)set screws to Anchor base
secure bollard to anchorage shaft.
7. Connect supply wiring to main power.Turn main power on.
