Specifi cations as follows :ll Inslall "JiS-Seal" Ice and Water Guard by "Protecto Wrap" over the existing plywood subsfiate,
according to manufacturers' specifications. Extend membrane up walls a minimum of 12" at roof-to-
wall junctures. Install a layer of Jiffy Seal over the plywood at the vents. Use mastic as needed.
2l Construct cold roof consisting of vertical I " x 2" battens at 16" on center with I " x 4" counter-
battens. Construct new ridge vents at all ridge locations. The vents will consist of vertical 2" x 2" with
alayer of /2" CDX over the top.
3l Install #l medium cedar shakes with laced 18", # 30 felt each course. Use starter and hip-and-ridge
shingles as needed.
{l Install 24 gauge prefinished flashings as needed, including valley, step, and endwall flashing. Install
24 gauge prefinished drip edge flashing al eave and rake edges. Color tb be selected from a siandard
color chart.
5] Install 24 gauge prefinished pressure flashlng at all endwall and sidewall conditions. Seal the top
edge.of the_counter flashing with a clear urethane caulk to assure a watertight seal to ttre roof to wall
locations. The membrane will be terminated under this flashine. Color tobe selected from a standard
color chart.
