Provide a listed floor/ceiling assembly for the replaced water damaged t hour ceiling. 1 Hour
separation is required betuveen dwelling units. Per IBC 708.1
Provide Detail clealy showing how the 1 Hour separation between units will be maintained at
the ceiling penetration for Bath Exhaust fans. (example tenting or fire damper) Replacing of
this exhaust fan will require compliance to lBC.
This resubmiftal consisted of 1 set of drawings. 2 sefs are required.
Please refer to the cover gheet for information and instruetions for resubmitting plans. The recheck of plans

BUILDING PERMIT ISSUANCE TIME FRAME
If this permit requires a Town of Vail Flre Depaftment Approval, Engineer's (Public Works) review and approval,
a Planning Department review or Health Departnent review, and a review by the Building Depaftment, the
estimated time for a total review will take as long as three (3) weeks.
All commercial (large or small) and all multi-family permits will have to follow the above mentioned maximum
requirements, Residential and small projecb should take a lesser amount of time. However, if residential or
smaller projects impact the various above mentioned departments with regard to necessary review, these
projects may also take three (3) week to review and approve.
Every attempt will be made by this depaftment to expedite this permit as soon as possibte.

How it relates to Building Permits:
Flll out the attached check list with the Buildinq permit Aoplication.
If yes was answered to any of the questions then a "Public Way" permit is required. You can pick up an
applicatlon at either Community Developmen! located at 75 South Frontage Road or Public Works, located at
1309 Elkhorn Drive.
NoUce sign-offs for utitity companies. ALL utilities must field veriff (locate) respective utilities prior to signing
application. Some utility companies require up to 48 hours notice to schedule a locate.
A construction traffic control/staging plan must be prepared on a separate sheet of paper. An approved site plan
may also be used. This plan will show locations of all traffic control devices (signs, cones, etc.) and the work
zone, (area of construction, staging, etc.). This plan will expire on November 1$ and will need to be resubmitted
for consideration for approval through the winter. Be aware that your resubmission for winter may be denied
depending on the location of construction.
Sketch of work being performed must be submitted indicating dimensions (length, width and depth of work).
This may be drawn on the faffic control plan or a site plan for the job,
Submit completed application to the Public Works office for review. If required, locates will be scheduled for the
Town of Vail electricians and irrigation crew. The locates take place in the morning, but may require up to 48
hours to perform.
The Public Works Constuction Inspector will review the application and approve or deny the permit. You will be
contacted as to the status and any requiremenB that may be needed. Most permits are released 48 hours of
being received, but please allow up to one (1) weekto process.
As soon as the permit is approved, the Building Department will be notified, allowing the "Building Permit" to be
released. Please do not confuse the "Public Way Permit" with the "Building Permif'.
NOTE: The above pnoaess is for work in a public way ONLY. Public Way Permits are valid only until
November 15th, A neur Public Way Permit is required each year if work is not complete. Re-
application each November 15h does not mean an automatic renewal.

I
The Vail Village and LionsHead Village are invaluable assets to the community. Thousands of people come to Vail each year to
sightsee, recreate, shop and to enjoy everything the Vail Valley has to offer. The community and merchants rely upon our guests to
generate revenue. Our summer/winter guests expect a pleasant experience while in Vail,
To insure that all of the proposed constnrction has as little negative impact on the community and on our guest as possiblg theTQwn
of Vail finds it imperative to create and implement the Vail Village and LionsHead Village Construction Hours Handout. i
It would be irresponsible for the Town of Vall, the construction contractorc and the merchants, to not actively participate to minimize
the impact of construction in the Vail and LionsHead Village areas.
The Vail Village Streetscape Project will continue through 2006. Improvements scheduled for
20O6 will be concentrated along Gore Creek Drive west of the Children's Fountain, Gore Creek
Promenade and around the frontage of the Mill Creek Court Building. Additional streetscape,
improvements are scheduled to begin along East Meadow Drive.
All construction projects and/or remodels within the Vail Village Core Area should contact :
