Re: Third Dwelling Unit at 2004 Chamonix Lane
Dear Mr. Davis:
It has recently come to our attention that the structure vou own at 2004
chamonix Lane may have a dwelling unit which"fias never apiroved by Eaglecounty or by the Town of vai'l . Eagle county has informed us that the countyregulations do not allow a third unit on the property and they have no recoidof ever approving an additiona'l unjt on this property. Evidentty, there are a
number of building code violations related to this additional unit as well asthe overal 1 problem with the zoning.
Unless you can provide us proof that there is a valid approval for thisadditional unit, we must require its removal . The existence of the unitrepresents a violation to the Town of vai1 zoning code relating to the total
number of dwelling units allowed on this 1ot (a maxjmum of two). I wouldappreciate it if you would contact the Department of Communjty Development atthe Town of vail so that we may expediently move toward resolving the prob'l em.
