The proposed "bump ouf'on the ground level has been discussed with the Board of
Managers (Directorg and has been approved. Approvalwas grantd by all 3 board
members during our last meeting, per the plans drawn by John Perkins AlA.
The approval was made subject to the review of the declar:ations and by-laws of the condo
association. After close review, there is nothing contained therein that will prevent you
from proceeding. The board expects that the work will commence and finish in a timely
and short period of time (2 weeks from start to exterior finish) and all "trash" will be your
responsibility.
Deviations from this basic design will not be permitted without approval, and each oilner at
Casa will have to @nform with your same exterior plans going forward, if they choose to do
the same.

If this permit requires a Town of Vail Fire Depadment Approval, Engineer's (Public Works) review and approval,
a Planning Department review or Health Department review, and a review by the Building Depaftment, the
estimated time for a total review will take as long as three (3) weeks.
All commercial (large or small) and all multi-family permits will have to follow the above mentioned maximum
requirements. Residential and small projects should take a lesser amount of time, However, if residential or
smaller projects impact the various above mentioned departmenb with regard to necessary review, these
projects may also take three (3) weeks to review and approve.

CODE 5-2-lO: DEPOSITS ON PUBIJC WAYS PROHIBITED
Unlawful deposits: Subject to subsection C thereof, it is unlawful for any person to litter, track or deposi! or cause to
be littered, tracked or deposited, sand, gravel, rocks, mud, dirt, snow, ice, or any other debris or material upon any
street sidewal( alley or public place, or any portion thereof.
Notice; Abatement: The Director of Public Work may notiff and require any person who violates or causes another
to violate the provision of subsection A hereof, or who has in the Director's employment a persc,n who violates or
causes another !o violate the same, top remove such sand, gravel, rocks, mud, dirt, snow, ic€ or any other debris or
material within twenty four (24) hours after receipt of said notice by the Director of Public Works. In the event the
person so notified does not cornply with the notice wlthin the period of time herein specified, the Director of Public
Works, or other authorized agent, may cause any such sand, gravel, rocks. mud, dirt, snow, ice, debris or any other
material to be removed from any street or alley at the o(pense of the notified.
Summons and Penalty: As an alternative to the notice for removal provided in subsection B above, any person
who violates or causes another to violate the same, may be issued a summons to appear before the Municipal Court of
the Town for said violations, and upon being found guilty of a violation hereunder be punished as provided in Section
1-4-1 of this code.
Notice and Penalty: It is unlawful for any person to fail or refuse to comply with the notice of the Director of Public
Works as provided in subsection B hereof, and any such person shall, in addition to payment of the expense of removal
incurred by the Director of Public Works, as provided in subsection B hereof, upon being found guilty of a violation
hereunder, be punishable as provided in Section 14-1 of this Code. (1997 Code: Ordinance 6 (1979).

No person shall park any vehicle upon a street or at any other place within this Municipality in such a manner or under

prescribed by Colorado Revised Statutes section 42-4-1L02, as amended, the officer shall require the vehicle to be
removed or cause it to be removed and placed in storage in the nearest garage or other place of safety designated or
maintained by this Municipality, and the charges for towing and storage of such vehicle shall be ctrarged to the owner

Problem Statement
The Vail Village and LionsHead Village are invaluable assets to the community. Thousands of people come to Vail each yearlto
sightse€, recreate, shop and to enjoy everything the Vail Valley has to offer, The community and merchants rely upon our
generate revenue. Our summer/winter guests expect a pleasant experience while in Vail.
To insure that all of the proposed construction has as little negative impact on the community and on our guest as possible, the'li
of Vail finds it imperative to create and implement the Vail Village and LionsHead Village Construction Hours Handout.
It would be irresponsible for the Town of Vail, the construction contractors and the merchants, to not actively participate to
the impact of construction in the Vail and LionsHead Villaqe areas.
The Vail Village Streetscape Project will continue through 2006. Improvements scheduled
2006 will be concentrated along Gore Creek Drive west of the Children's Fountain, Gore
Promenade and around the frontage of the Mill Creek Court Building. Additional streebcape
improvements are scheduled to begin along East Meadow Drive,
All construction projects and/or remodels within the Vail Village Core Area should contact
