This letter is being written in response to your request regarding the Town's requirements and process
for the removal oithree to four cottonwood trees on your propedy. Any proposal to remove the trees or
any other landscaping would require the submittal of a Design Review application, which would need to
be reviewed by staff ind approved by the Design Review Board or staff. In previous site visits I have
observed the three to four cottonwoods you would like to possibly remove. I believe they are between
25 and 30 feet in height. I would suggest that an appropriate replacement for the removed trees would
be a total of three to four evergreeni ranging from 12 to 15 feet in height and three to four aspens
ranging 3 inches in caliper or greater. These trees could be located all upon your property or some
couid Oe located on the neighboring property to the west. The overall goal should be to replace the
buffer between the two homts. Thie suggested tree replacement provided in this letter is subject to
change upon submittal of an application and another staff visit to the site to fully understand the
buffering which exists and what will be needed to replace the buffer.
