All electrical work is to be complete to the
requirements of the latest National Electrical Code,all Town of Vail Ordinances, and Holy Cross
Requirements.
This project will require a site improvement survey.'rhis survey shall be submitted and staff approved 48
hours prior to a request for a frame inspection.
Under no circumstances will a frame inspection be donewithout an approved site improvement survey.
There shall be only one kitchen d.signated per
dwelling unit allowed by the Town of Vail ZoningRegulations. All other such labeled areas are not
approved and shall not be rough-in constructed as
such.
Exterior surfaces with stucco shall be provided withexterior metal lath as per UBC 4706 with 2 layers ofpaper. Windows and doors are required to be
adequately flashed(not with just screed metal). Alath inspection is required prior stuccoapplication.
All new construction within the Town of Vail will be
required to have an initial inspection by TOV Public
Works Dept. to approve site drainage and culvertinstallation. This approval must be complete prior
to any inspection by the Building Department.
This project is restricted from the burning of woodin fireplaces. Unless the lot is a restricted lotin stze, three gas logs fireplaces and three gas
appliances are permitted per unit allowed. Gas log
chimneys enclosures shall be one hr. protected.

In bathrooms with a tub or shower and in laundry
rooms a mechanical ventilation system connecteddirectly to the outside sltall be provided. Bathrms
which contain only a water closet or lav. may beventilated with a recirculating fan. UBC 1205(c) -
Domestic clothes dryer exhaust ducts shall beinstalled as per (n1C 1104 and 1903. Flexible duct
connectors may not exceed 6' in length and shall notbe concealed within construction- Ducts shallterminate outside the building and not exceed l4'length.
No domestic dishwashing machine shall be directly
connected to a drainage system without the use of an
approved dishwastter air-gap fitting. UPC 608.
Cross connection control devices shall be installedto protect pollution of potable water supply by useof approved backflow prevention devices. UPC 1003.
Domestic ranges shall have a vertical clearance
above the cooking surface of not less than 30" tounprotected combustible rnaterial. UMC 1901.
Approved gas logs may be installed in solid-fuelburning fireplaces provided the installation is
according to the listing instructions, any dampershall be removed or permanently blocked, and asafety shutoff valve is provided. UXC 803.
Supply a, mechanical drawing indicating design of
system, size (BTU and volume) of equipment, ventlocation and termtnatton, and combustion air to be
supplied prior to any installation.
Due to Colorado State Statutes, all sink faucetts
and shower heads are required to utilize flowrestriction devices. Also, the maximum water closetflush usage is limited to a maximum of 3.5 gallonsper flush.
At eaves and valleys an adequate underlayment sttallbe provided to protect a structure from ice buildup
and water damage. Two layers of felt solid moppedto sheathing and between layers or a commercialwater 6r ice shield may be used as per Table 32B1.
Because of this project's location, the foundationis required to be dampproofed td prevent damage to
areas below finished grade. UBC 1707 (d).
Include a copy of the soils r;eport for the site to
be built on. -- Sec. 2905.
