HomeMy WebLinkAboutDRB120326 exterior materials emailRachel, Here are the exterior finishes: 1) Roofing will be pre-patinated standing seam natural copper. 2) Gutters and downspouts will be natural copper. 3) Wood siding, beams, posts, corner boards, trim, belly bands, etc will be similar in scale, color and layup to the attached photo “Siding”. It is a reclaimed Spruce. This photo is from a house we completed on Hornsilver. 4) There will also be natural copper panel siding in some locations. 5) Stone will be very similar to the Frampton house on Beaver Dam Road, as per the attached PDF “Stone”. The stone pattern/color is called “Telluride Greystone”. 6) Windows in wood and stone fields will be natural copper sash with frame color to closely match wood siding. 7) Windows in copper fields will be natural copper sash and frames. 8) Steel lintels over openings in stone fields will be natural steel color per attached photo “Steel Lintel”. I have attached a current set of elevations to show you where all of the siding materials will go. As you can see we have replaced all of the stucco with either wood, stone or copper. Please let me know if you need anything further on exterior materials. If I am correct, I only owe you 1, 6, 8, 9 and 10 from your list below? Thank you, Ryan From: Rachel Friede Dimond [mailto:RDimond@vailgov.com] Sent: Tuesday, July 31, 2012 4:03 PM To: Ryan Wolffe (ryanw@sriarchitect.com) Subject: more info on Marshall Residence Ryan- I need the following info for Marshall Residence: 1. Very basic landscape plan (take out all unnecessary layers) showing what you count as hardscape and what you count as softscape. 2. Final colors for building materials- I cant approve without this- a sample board or scanned colors are helpful as well 3. Change the brick star to a town of vail outdoor lighting compliant light- you should not be able to see the light emit outward- it should only go down , sot he cover needs to be longer to shield the light. Does that make sense? 4. Can you fit each floor plan on one sheet? 5. Since site is permitted to have two units, the total max garage deduction is 300 square feet per space for up to 4 spaces. Since you have three spaces, you can deduct 900 square feet from the garage GRFA. Change this on A2.4 6. Provide roof plan with elevations of all ridges and eaves, with finished elevation and interpolated grade under structure. 7. Are all the Delta Star lights (Z) shining under roof covered areas or shining down only? 8. Provide top of wall and bottom of wall elevations for all boulder and other walls. 9. Boulders must be 2 feet from property line on the north side- just note that on the plans. 10. Provide a sheet showing each floor plan in a different color (just the outline of the floor level no details) overlapping each other, with the outline of the roof showing any roof area with over 4 foot overhangs to show site coverage calculation. Thanks for your patience in my review- we are super busy. Let me know if you have questions. Once I get this info, I can complete my review. Rachel F.
