Hey JP and Kurt,
In speaking with the Public Works Department, the existing driveway at 787 Potato Patch Drive may be extended to the street edge. However, the extension must be in conformance with
Title, 14, Development Standards, Vail Town Code. The portion of the driveway to be extended to the street edge must also be extended to the south to create a minimum parking area depth
of 24 feet. A depth of 24 feet is necessary to accommodate a parked vehicle and to provide visibility for a driver backing a vehicle into the street. The new grading and retaining
walls necessary for the driveway expansion to the south must comply with the standards prescribed by Chapter 14-6, Grading Standards, Vail Town Code.
Please submit revised plans addressing these requirements at your earliest convenience.
