I did get the email with the 3 changes I sent it yesterday. Can you explain "applique" the word means something sewn on to a background. I forwarded it onto you yesterday. Please read the 3 points, we can have the image, we need raised lettering and we need a border. I am sorry about this, but they will push this one through if we can get it for them. Once again ASAP! Thank you! I spoke with some other planners to get their opinion and here is what we came up with for an easy approval, which I doubt would require you to go back to the HOA: 1. Use raised lettering. 2. Use an applique of some sort to keep the Zoe and Guido logo with photo 3. Add a border to tie it all together. If you get me a rendering with the above changes, I think we can get it approved immediately which would get your sign up way faster and skip the requirement of coming to a public hearing. Also, please get me the HOA sign off. Does this work for you? Rachel F. I also apologize if you are getting mixed messages from different people in my office. I will need some form of sign off from the HOA- you can submit a letter or even email from them as proof of sign off. You will need to discuss with them whether they need to see a new rendering but it seems unlikely as the sign wont change much from what you already submitted to me- I just need more detail. I would HIGHLY suggest you not get a sign manufactured before you receive approval. Send me the updated sign, and Ill see what I can do as far as administrative approval. If I cant approve it, we can move the hearing to Wednesday October 3. Rachel F. I just cant staff approve this. It can go to Design Review Board on 9/19 at 3pm in the Vail Town Council chambers. Can someone be present? Also, can you get me an updated rendering showing the where the relief/3D will occur with details? Rachel F. A good example is the cupcake store a few doors down from you. This would likely mean that you wouldn’t do a photo dog and cat, but instead perhaps have someone engrave the name with a very generic cat and dog picture. Let me know your thoughts.
