The stair treads tend to accumulate snow and ice, becoming slippery and hazardous, especially with hands full while carrying out trash. We propose to replace the existing stair treads and landing surface with Grip Strut planks with the same powder-coated dark brown finish as the bridge (photo to the right). This material provides excellent traction and its surface pattern allows most snow to fall through instead of accumulating on the surface. 7 :y.
