The intent of his new w rk is to match existing conditions in typ e of materials and or design where applicable); verify any deviation firom this intent with Owner. 2. The contractor to be responsible to obtain and pay for all required permits, including but not limited to the building permit, occupancy permit, etc. 3. The contractor and/or sub-contractor shall visit the site and shall verify all existing conditions and dimensions prior to commencing any work. All discrepancies shall be reported to the architect upon discovery. 4. Written dimensions shall take precedence over scaled dimensions. Larger scale drawings shall take precedence over smaller scale drawings. 5. All work shall conform to the latest IBC or as amended by the City of Vail and to the latest editions of all other applicable codes or requirements of all other regulating agencies having authority over any portion of the work. Nothing in these notes shall be construed to permit deviation from the governing codes. 6. The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, transportation, and services necessary to complete the work as indicated on the drawings, as required by code, and as specified herein, except as provided by Owner or as otherwise noted. 7. All material and equipment shall b new, f ll weight and of the best quality unless otherwise noted as ' existing' and shall be installed in a neat and proper manner by competent specialists for each subtrade. All items required to insure proper installation shall be provided by the contractor even though not specifically on the drawings. 8. The contractor shall maintain the minimum amount of insurance required by law, or by Landlord, whichever is more stringent. 9. he contractor shall coordinate work performed by other contractorsN.I.C.) work. Sub-contractors are considered specialists in their field and shall notify the contractor of any work called out on the drawings in their trade that they cannot fully guarantee. All property damaged by work under this contract shall be repaired and/or replaced to the satisfaction of the Owner and Building Management. All piping, conduits, etc., that are encountered shall be adequately supported until permanent support is provided or removal is authorized. 13. The contractor shall at all times keep the premises free of rubbish and waste material caused by the work. 14. Upon completion of the work, all areas shall be thoroughly cleaned to the approval of the Owner. 15. All existing equipment removed by demolition or rehabilitation shall be disposed of as directed by the Owner. 16. Trade names and manufacturers referred to on the documents are for quality standards only. Request for substitution shall be submitted to the Owner with adequate information during the bid period. 17. The contractor shall be responsible for the timely approval of all specified finish materials, equipment, light fixtures, and any other material to be utilized on the project. No extension of time to the contract will be allowed for the contractor s inability to secure specified items unless explicitly approved by the Owner. 18. All material shall be at building temperature and humidity prior to installation. 19. All material shall be installed per manufacturer's latest printed specifications and recommendations. 20. All work new unless otherwise noted (U.O.N.). 21. This project has been desig ned for disabled-accessibility in, accordancewiththeAmericanswithDisabilitiesAccessibility, Guidelines (ADAAG). The Architect shall ensure that all work accomplished within this project maintains conformance with the ADAAG. 22. Fire safety during construction shall be in accordance with articfe 87, T997 Uniform Fire Code.
