Re: Lodge Tower Units 686,687/689, 691 McClennan Condo
Mike,
Scope of Work:
The proposal is for SimplexGrinnell (SG) to provide CAD, Design, equipment, 2102 and 4100u
terminations plus programming with ROC testing for the Lodge Tower at 200 Vail Rd Vail CO. 81657 for the McClellan Condo Unit 685, 687/689, 691 in conjunction with AK Electric.
Attached
is the device layout in a PDF format. This was provided in order to get the rough-in complete as soon as you let us know the roughin can be completed. SG will provide SG engineered
CAD and Design to the as before with the Penthouse at the Lodge Tower.
SG is going to add 5 smoke detectors with sounder bases to the new 4100u system and 5 speakers to the existing
2120 Voice EVAC system in CST transponder in the garage.
18/2 TSP (IDNET+) and 14/2 (Power) wire will need to be run from the transponder to the 4100u FACP. At the 4100u FACP they
will need to be landed on the 24vdc and the IDNET+ card. The program will need to be adjusted to reflect the correct device location in the description field and equations will need
to be written to provide the correct sequence of operations on the 4100u and the 2120. The 2120 will need a tape back performed in order to provide customer information in case of a
total power outage. The tape back-up disc will need to be placed in the 2120 terminal cabinet with a list of the changes to the 2120 program. The 2120 program must match the 4100u
program where necessary for bi communication between the FACP’s.
At the transponder, the wire will need to be taken from the zone terminals and used for the riser for the IDNET+ and
24vdc from the 4100u. There should be 4 pair used to accomplish this. 3.3k ELOR’s will need to be placed on the eliminated transponder zone terminals.
In the unit, the existing
smoke detectors will be removed and a junction box will be added in order to link the existing transponder 4 pair wire to the new devices in the unit. Please note the existing free-wire
junctions for the unit will be left alone unless the local AHJ requires them to be placed in a junction box. All existing 24vdc from the 2120 powering the remote piezo’s will need
to capped and cleared of all grounds.
Wire runs will need to be per NEC, NFPA 72 standards and Town of Vail Codes.
Reacceptance testing will be performed before the final is requested.
The smokes will be programmed to be local smokes only. The three spaces will be considered as one.
Devices shall
only be installed upon completion of all painting and finish work.
The FACP program will be updated, backed up, and archived.
Please let us know if we can furnish any other information
to aid in your review process.
