CODE 5-2-10: IIEPOSITS ON PUBLIC WAYS PROHIBITED
A. Unlawful deposits: Subject to subsection C thereot it is unlawful for any person to litter,
track or deposit, or cause to be littered, tracked or deposited" san4 gravel, rocks, mud, dirt
snow, ice, or any other debris or material upon any stree! sidewalk, alley or public place, or
any portion thereof.
B. Notice; Abatement: The Director of Public works may notifu and require any pefson who
violates or causes another to violate the provision of subsection A hereof, or who has in the
Director's employment a person who violates or ciruses aoothgr to violate the same, top
remove such sand, gravel, rocks, mud, dir! snow, ice or any other debris or material within
twenty four (24) hours after receipt of said notice by the Director of Public Works. In the
event the person so notified does not comply with the notice within the period of time herein
specified the Director of Public Works, or other authorized agent, may cause any such sand
gravel, rocks, mud, dirt, snow, ice, debris or any other material to be removed from any street
or alley at the expenss ofthe notified.
C. Exceptions: The provisions of subsection A hereof shall not be applicable:
l. Within the immediate area of any construction" maintenance or repair project of any
street or alley or of any water main" sewer maiq electricity line, gas line, telephone line
or any appurtenance tlereto;
2. To deposits of sand, dirt or materials n€cessary for the protection ofthe public safety; and
3. To public areas dasigrrated for the dumping or depositing of said materials.
D. Sumrnons; Penalty: As an alternative to the notice for removal provided in zubsection B
above, any
person who violates or causes another to violate the same, may be issued a summons to
appear before the Municipal Court ofthe Town for sard violations, and upon being found
guilty of a violation herzunder be punished as prwided in Section l4-1 of this code.
E. Notice; Penalty: It is unlawfirl for any person to hil or rfise to comply with ttre notice of
the
Director of Public Works as provided in subsection B hereof, and any such person shall, in
addition to payment of the expense of removal incuned by the Director of Public Works, as
provided in subsection B hereo{ upon being found guilty ofa violation hereunder, be
punishable as provided in Section 1-4-l ofthis Code. (1997 Code: Ordinance 6 (1979)

Ifthis permit requires a Town of Vail Fire Departrnent Approval, Engineer's (Public Works)
review and approval, a Planning Deparhnent review ofHealth Deparhnent review, and a review
by tle Building Deparhnent, tle estimated time for a total review may take as long as three (3)
weeks.
All commercial (large or small) and all multi-family permits will have to follow the above
mentioned maximum requirements. Residential and small projects should take a lesser amount of
tirne. However, if residential or smaller pro1ects impact the various above mentioned
deparhnents with regard to necessary review, these projects may also take the three (3) week
period.
Every attempt will be made by this deparhnent to expedite this permit as soon as possible.
I, the undersigned, understand the Plan Check procedure and time frame. I also understand that if
the permit is not picked up by the expiration date, that I must still pay the Plan Check Fee and
that if I fail to do so it rnay affect future permits that I apply for.

t. Approval for the expanded and additional rvindon's is granted based upon the location
ot'Unit 33 and the verbal approval received from the Orurer of Unit 34 on February
3,1999. The new rvindorvs shall be n'ooden cased with clear, non-tinted glass to
match the existing rvindorvs and painted to nratch the exisring building colors.
?. Approval for the added 8' x 6'8" door off the dining room is $anted based on similar
installatiotts elservhere *'ri!r:: the Association. The added door shall be an Anderson
Door, French Wood Glider to illatch that currcntly on Unit 32.
3. Approval of tha deck addition is based ori the understanding that it will conform to
the design, materials and d::rcnsions of the Association's previously approved deck
design. Said design rvas mailed to the Applicant by the Association,
