block on the PC board (wire colors are marked next to tcrrninals).Wire colors and functions are described in the SpECIFICATIONS

6. Remove lhe clear prot€ctive filrns from the LCD display and keypad
labels.

SETTINC TIIE KEYPAD ADDRESS
The keypad can b€ set for an address of 0-31 (the kelpad will not
accept entries greater than 31), which is st red in EEROM memory.
The keypad's default address is Bl (non-addressable mode_some earlyversions of6139/6139R default to l1).
To change the keypad's address, do the following:l. Ent€! address mode: Power up (plugin) the keypad. Within 60
seconds of power-up, press and hold down the ll) a;d l3l keys at the
same tjme for 3 seconds. (lf unable to enter address mode, fower up
and try again.)
The current keypad address will be displayed, and the cursor will be
under the "tens" digit. If l0 seconds.have passed with no key enrry,the keypad automatically exits address mode. you rnu.i po*",

Engineerlng Speclflcatlons
System Sensor's MultFAlert sounder and sounder/strobes are suited to provide primary
or sec6ndary slgnallng for fire and seculity applications. The MA and MASS models
provide eight fleld-selectable warning tones.
The Multi-Alert models mount directly to 4" square back boxes. Opdonal mounting
plares are available for either flush or semi-flush installations. Model MA124D is suitable
for outdoor applicarions when instatled with the WBB weather-proof back box.
Multi-Alert strobes. System Sensor's Multi-Alert strobes are ULt638 compliant
electronic visible warning signals rhat flash approximarely every 1.5 seconds. All
circuits are polarized to be comparible with DC alarm supervision.
Minl-Alert Sounders. System Sensor's PA400 series Mini-Alerr sounders operare
ar 12 and 24 volts and are ideal for horel, motel or residential fire sysrem
applications, where a smaller notification device is desired. The PA400
sounders are available with or without FIRE identification, and are offered in
red, beige, and white.
Multi'Alert sounders shall be a System Sensor Model MA 12124D capable of operating at 72 and 24VDC. Sounder shall be
fisted ro Underwrirer's Laboratories Standard lJL464 for fire protective signaling ryri.rns. Sounder shall have an operating
temperature betrveen -31"F and 151oF. Sounder shalt have eight rone oprions, seleited by means of clips.
Mini-Alert Sounders shall be a System Sensor Model

capable of operating ar 12 and 24VDC. Sounder shall be listed
to Underwriter's Laboratories Standard lJL464 for fire proteitive signa[ing syri.rnt. Sounder shall have an operaring tem-

Description:
The Series 600 heat detector is attractive, durable and features a combination rate-of-rise and fixed temperature
operation. The heat detectors are available in l35oF (57"C) or 200"F (94.c) temperature ratings.
Rue-o!-Rise
The rate'of'rise function detects heat quickly by responding to a rapid temperature increase. The pneumatic
element responds to a rapld rise-in temperature, approximatety fS"F (8'C) ber minute, when the air expands fasterwithin the sealed chamber than it can escape through the calibrated vent. The increase in preessure depresses the
diaphragm' causing the electricsl contacts to ctose the circult. Rate-of-rise units have a wide spacing aliowance of
50 foot centers. See Spcelllcallan_Table for details.
Fised Temperature
The fixed temperature function reacts to heat by responding to a specilic temperature setting. The element is
constructed of a fusible alloy' which fuses at the fixed temperature setting of iither 135"F (5t"C) or 200.F (94.C).
When activated, the external heat collector drops away to provide quick visual confirmation that the element has
operated,
