Meadow Dr. Vail, CO 81657 Re: Scope of Work Letter--Christiania at Vail 356 E.Hanson Ranch Road, Penthouse Unit A Vail ,Colorado 80657 Dear Mike: Christiana Penthouse A is currently undergoing a major remodel and the contractor, Bob Boymer, holds a building permit requiring an addressable CO system to be added. The Christiana currently has in place a Sensiscan 2000 Fire Alarm panel which is UL listed, but was retired by Fire-Lite in 2005. As such, the current panel will not allow an addressable CO system. In verbal communication with John Everly, GM of Christiana, he has agreed to upgrade the panel as deemed necessary for this project. Bob is currently in the rough-in phase of the project and will be ceasing construction during the winter season due to noise restrictions by the Christiana. As such, the project will not be completed until next summer. John Everly would plan to have the new panel installed by next summer when the Penthouse A project is finalized. We have included battery calculations for the current system, and while the additional devices will remain the same, we will provide updated battery calculations when the new panel is put in place. Our goal is to obtain the necessary permit to allow us to pre-wire before construction on the project ceases at the end of November 2012. Please consider this upgrade permit for the monitored fire system devices at the above address. Additional devices to be added to the existing system are as follows: (2) Single Circuit Fixed Temp Conventional Heat Detectors • Mechanical Room—194 degree (BK5603) • Laundry Room—135 degree (BK5604) (4) CO Detector’s to provide coverage as deemed necessary (CO1224TR) • On Top of stairs • Outside of Bedrooms—common area • In the mechanical Room • Kitchen Battery calculations include 6 ESL449CSRH devices which were part of the old construction and will be reinstalled in the same locations upon completion of the project. Since they were removed when the battery tests were done, they are included in the battery calculations.
