Hey Chris,
The Community Development Department has received the change to approved plans design review application for exterior lighting changes at 45 Forest Road. While the proposed gas lanterns
are exempt from the adopted full cut-off fixture (i.e. dark sky) requirements, these fixtures will count toward the maximum number of lights allowed by Section 14-10-7-D, Vail Town Code.
The Town Code allows a maximum of one outdoor light per one thousand square feet of lot area, so 19 exterior lights are allowed on this 19,676 square foot lot. Landscaping lights no
more than 18 inches tall may be exempt; however, all other outdoor fixtures are counted toward this maximum. Please submit corrected plans demonstrating compliance with the prescribed
maximum number of outdoor lights.
