Architectural Comments:
1 Include manufacturer's specifications for the foam plastic rigid insulation proposed for the new roof.
IRC R314
2 Clarify proposed attachment of the rigid insulation to the roof deck and the standing seam panels to
the roof deck on the plans. R905.10.1
3 Specify waterproofing underlayment for the new roof panels on the plans. R905.10
4 Include letter from the architect or engineer or record to confirm the existing roof structure is
adequate to support the additional dead load of the proposed new roof assembly.
Please refer to the cover sheet for information on resubmitting plans. In order to avoid delays in issuance of
a permit, please check all requested information is included with the resubmitted plans. Please submit

Please find 4 bound sets of drawings for the roof at the subject property. I've
addressed the comments from your review, dated 5.16.08.
Please reference notes on the drawings specifying ice and snow membrane
and polysi foam product. The Atlas foam product will be layered over the
present roof system and "sandwiched" to the existing sheathing with a new
layer of'/2" CDX plywood mechanically fastened. Therefore, I see very minimal
increase in dead load to the total roof system.
