General Information: This appfication is required for all proposals involving the addition of any floor area, in-
cluding net floor area and/or gross residential floor area (GRFA). This also includes proposals for 'residential
250 additions' and `interior conversions'. Applicable Vail Town Code sections can be found at
www.vailgov.com under Vail Information — Town Code Online. All projects requiring design review must re-
ceive approval priar to submitting a building permit application. An application for Design Review cannot be
accepted untit all required information is received by the Community Development Department, as outlined in
the submittal requirements. The project may also ne�d to be reviewed by the Town Council and/or the Plan-
ning and Environmental Commission: Design review approval expires one year from the date of approval,
unless a building permit is issued and construction commences.

submittal and existing drawings on the disk for your files)
COMMENTS Two small additions to the lower level east side totaling 183 SF, a 102 SF
addition at the west side of the main level adjacent to the entry, an exterior
stair from the north side of the main level deck to grade, a deck carved in to
the roof on the upper level east side and multiple window changes are
proposed. All exterior colors and materials of the additions will match the
existing colors and materials. All of the additions are either above or below
existing GFRA so the footprint of the house is unchanged.
The existing duplex has been added on to approximately 2 previous times
since it was built in 1989 and the window sizes and window patterns are quite
inconsistent on the indiv,idual sides and between the two sides. Some
windows have no divisions and other windows have multiple divisions in the
glass. We are proposing to make the north side (parcel B) more consistent by
eliminating these small divided light windows. The owner on the south side
will likely be replacing his old windows in the near future and will likely
increase the size of the windows and eliminate the small divided lights.
