Minor Exterior Alterations
General Information:
This application is required for all proposals involving minor changes to buildings and site improvements, such as re-
roofing, painting, window additions, landscaping, fences, retaining walls, etc. Applicable Vail Town Code sections can be
reviewed on-line at www.vailciov.corn under Vail Information on -
Town Code On-line. All projects requiring design review
must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit application. An application for Design Review cannot be
accepted until all required information is received by the Community Development Department,as outlined in the submittal
requirements. Design review approval expires one year from the date of approval, unless a building permit is issued and
construction commences.

RE: Installation of T-Mobile Telecommunication Facility
Dear Development Review Coordinator,
This letter is to serve as a request to install a telecommunication facility on the Middle Creek Village
Apartments located at 145 North Frontage Rd West. The proposed installation will consist of nine(9)
antennas,one(1)2'dish as well as a 25'x 25'equipment enclosure for all associated radio/electrical
equipment.The antennas will be flush mounted and painted to match the existing architecture of the
elevator/stairwell chase. The equipment enclosure will also be architecturally compatible with the exterior
of the apartment complex. The subject property consists of residential apartments with garages.

Siting Practices
In siting a new installation,a wireless communications provider requires a location that is technically
compatible with the established network. A general area is identified based upon engineering constraints
and the desired area of service. Specific locations within that general will be evaluated using the following
criteria(not necessarily in order of priority):topography;availability of road access,electrical power,land
based telephone lines;leasable lands;availability of suitable existing structure for antenna mounting;
opportunities to mitigate possible visual impact;screening potential of existing vegetation,structure and
topographic features;zoning that will allow a wireless communication installation;compatibility with
adjacent land uses;lease number of sites to cover the desired area;and the greatest amount of coverage
potential.
It is T-Mobile's policy to locate wireless communication installations on existing infrastructure
whenever possible.
After much research of the targeted search area,T-Mobile has identified this location as the least
obtrusive means to provide wireless coverage to their customers. T-Mobile is meeting the code and
reducing the visual impact by constructing a concealed facility and remaining below the existing height.
