General Information:
All projects requiring design review must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit application. Please
refer to the submittal requirements for the particular approval that is requested. An application for Design Review
cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Community Development Department. The
project may also need to be reviewed by the Town Council and/or the Planning and Environmental Commission.
Design review approval lapses unless a building permit is issued and construction commences within
one year of the approval.

Dear Mr Gibson-
As per your site visit of May 201h,attached you will fuld a landscape plan showing the addil;on
of 1 I —9'•12'aspens and 4—7'-12'spruce fora total of 15 trees. Ire addition in the fall of 2001,
I planted 410'-12'spruce at the east side of my driveway bringnig the total addition of new
landscaping material of 19 trees.
Whilc it is unfortunate that the landscape plan submitted by the association to the Town of Vail
and approved in 1983 was never implemented,we feel that the burden of planting this common
area should not be placed on us.
Further,when we were requested to modify our rooitine,the landscape requirement was not
mentioned. However,to move forward we are prepared to add the 15 tress.
Any additional requirements will cause us to reassess the viability of spending in excess of
5100,000.00 to upgrade the exterior of a 30-year-old property.
