We will be painting entire home in spring.
Railings will match as well.
I thought the revision that was approved removed that window and added the lower one. We had planed on making it a
false window if not approved, so we can still so that.

A neighbor called in with a few questions regarding the addition at 1042 Eagles Nest Circle, so I pulled
the plans and visited the site. The questions they had are the same questions I arrived at after visiting
the site. They are as follows:
1)Will you be repainting the entire duplex in the spring to ensure all the siding and railings are
matching in color? The wood currently installed does not match the existing color. It appears to
be maybe just a primer installed on the wood prior to installation. It is common to install the
wood siding with a primer on the ground with a final coat to go on after installation. Please
confirm you will be painting the entire structure to ensure everything matches as this will be
necessary.
2)The railings installed on the second floor of the addition (roof top deck) mimic the style of
the existing railings, but have additional tubes added to meet the 4-inch spacing required by
Code. The approved DRB plan shows that the existing railings on the structure will be modified
to match what is currently constructed on the roof top deck. Please confirm this is still a task to
be performed.
3)The neighbor asked about the large wall of the addition and why there were no windows in
it. The approved DRB plan from VAG shows a singular window on the façade. I do not see any
DRB applications proposing to remove this window from the wall. Why is this window not
installed? When will it be installed?

I have attached a digital representation of the west elevation as provide by VAG and approved by the
Town which shows you the window location and all railings being modified to match the railing currently
installed on the roof top deck.
Please get back to me with answers to these questions which I hope will help me answer the neighbor’s
questions.
