Background: This project is a result of an inspection conducted by the Department of Justice that detailed several deficiencies regarding ADA code for the Vail Golf & Nordic Center. Several extensions were granted to evaluate the options however decisive action must now occur in order to meet (DOJ) deadlines and to minimize impact to the Vail Golf Course summer operations for 2009. TOV contracted VAG (Vail Architectural Group) to design the corrections necessary. These designs were forwarded to the DBTAC Rocky Mountain ADA Center for review and comment. Martin Haeberle has also been instrumental in working through the details of this project to ensure that all code issues are addressed. Purpose: The purpose of this project is to meet all codes set forth in the ADA laws for the Vail Golf & Nordic Center Details: This project will involve both interior and exterior work. The scope of work for the exterior involves removing the existing path that accesses the building and replacing it with one that will meet ADA code regarding grade, curb, handrail, angles and lighting. We are also incorporating a path to allow egress from an emergency exit located within the restaurant. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Scott F. Quick and Easy installation Bollards utilize a mounting ring containing the ballast and related electrical components. This ring is attached to the anchor bolts, leveled, and field wire connections are made prior to mounting the fixture. Concealed Mounting Bollard mounting hardware utilizes a twist-lock base connection with concealed fasteners and set-screws. Clean Detailing Kim bollards are clean, simple, unobtrusive forms that look as good up close as they do from a distance. A precision look is attained with careful attention to detail such as flush joints, counter sunk fasteners, and quality components. Easy Re-lamp Direct access to the lamp is achieved by simply removing the top. Simple Maintenance With the top removed, all major components are readily accessible for cleaning or replacement.
